Meet our team
Leanne Skillen - Owner RMT
Breathe. Relax. Release. Restore. My journey as a practitioner began 14 years ago. I bring my open heart and pure presence to the table integrating a wide range of modalities. My work embodies deep muscular work and neuromuscular therapy techniques to address injuries and the source of holding patterns as well as joint mobilizations, stretching, energy work and hot stone massage techniques to create space in the body that allows ease, openness and awareness. I bring a gentle strength working deeply or lightly as needed with focused intent always listening and responding with my hands, heart and ears. At the heart of each treatment is a focus to facilitate the body’s innate healing power and I am honoured to be helping others reach their full potential and be well.

Hailey Fortier - RMT
From an early age, Hailey discovered that she had been blessed with a deep sense of empathy and intuition. She has always been drawn to helping and caring for others. Hailey has been on a continuous journey to gain a deeper understanding as to the reasons both why and how we experience, and hold onto pain. With a background and interest in Sociology and Psychology, she has worked towards gaining a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection. Before finding massage therapy, her path hadn’t always been clear as to the kind of healing she was meant to provide for others. She is a caregiver by nature, having years of experience working with both children and seniors. Her focus and intent is to provide you with a peaceful presence of warmth, comfort and reassurance. Her recent path into massage therapy has opened up a whole new world of self-discovery and meaning when it comes to helping others on their path towards wellness. Having recently achieved her RMT status, Hailey is eager to continue down the path of massage therapy and to broaden her scope of practice and certifications, adding to the types of healing she is able to provide to her clients.
Her treatments are primarily relaxation based, incorporating deep tissue techniques, as well as myofascial cupping, trigger point therapy and stretching when appropriate. Her style and touch are very calming and nurturing by nature, effectively targeting those struggling with everyday stress, as well as anxiety & depression. These types of imbalances can not only affect, but manifest themselves in mysterious ways within the body. She believes whole-heartedly in the mind-body connection and wants you to know that by treating your physical body, this allows for a deeper level of healing that goes beyond the visual and palpable tissues. Ultimately, she offers a warm & inviting, safe space for calming the nervous system and quieting the mind, in order to restore your body’s capacity for peace, healing and overall wellness.

Kendra Heck - BSc RAc
Kendra‘s interest in intricate connections first led her to a degree in Environmental and Conservation Science at the University of Alberta and, later in life, to delve into the healing arts. While living in Japan, Kendra began her training in Qigong, Shiatsu, Tui Na massage, Japanese acupuncture as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine. Upon returning to Canada she continued her studies and graduated from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Acupuncturist. Kendra is constantly adding to her “toolbox” of knowledge and techniques with further training in areas ranging from neurological conditions to pregnancy.
With experience in both athletic and holistic settings, Kendra is sensitive to her patients’ needs and tailors each treatment according to the layers of injury or imbalance revealed. Whether she is collaborating with colleagues, mentoring developing acupuncturists, leading workshops or working one-on-one with a patient, Kendra facilitates the free-flow of Qi and knowledge in the pursuit of healthful balance.
Kendra enjoys spending time outdoors with her family cycling, hiking, kayaking, tossing rocks in the water and building toasty fires. Kendra also loves to create and uses this outlet as her main form of meditation. In quiet moments she picks up a different set of needles and sews colour and whimsy for her home and online business.
Linda White - MSW RCST
I came to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) after many years in the field of social work. I now find that helping people by working with the health in their body is a great fit for me. I am excited and awed by the healing power of this kind of therapy.
Initially, I became intrigued by BCST when a craniosacral therapist put her hands on my ankles and could tell me what was going on in my body! She said I felt like someone who'd just had major surgery - this was a few days after my husband died. I had no idea I was in such physical shock. Through BCST treatment sessions, I became more aware of, able to listen to, and know what my body needed at this moment. Previously, I tended to wait for aches and pains to alert me. BCST taught me to tune in to stresses and discomfort before an acute episode (most days).
I took a 2-year training from Body Intelligence and started practicing in 2013. I take a 'whole person' or holistic approach to healing, and deeply acknowledge the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit. That nagging tension you feel between your shoulder blades...the clenched jaw...the achy pain in your hips...Craniosacral therapy treats these kinds of symptoms and their physical and emotional connections. Pain or chronic health problems may be the result of previous trauma, injury or experiences that your body no longer has the resources to compensate for. If you are curious about what your body has to say, I’d love to try this therapy with you! It works!
I love history as portrayed in old paintings, which started on my first visit to the Louvre. Genealogy follows from that: my grandmother started our family tree, my mom did amazing research, and I’m carrying on the tradition. I also love cooking, especially soups.
Michaela Crump - RMT
Michaela is a registered massage therapist who graduated from a three-year program at Medicine Hat College with a diploma in Massage Therapy as well as a post-diploma certificate in Sports Massage Therapy and has been practicing since 2008. She has been able to obtain a variety of massage-related skills and hands-on experience through various opportunities at the college such as the onsite student clinic, athletics-oriented therapy with the woman's basketball team, various volunteer events, and clinical experience in an adult inpatient psychiatry ward. The first day of college sparked a passion for massage and this passion has only continued to grow.
Michaela has taken many massage courses outside of college and continues to educate herself on the various ways she can aid her clients. She has over 160 hours of additional training to include visceral manipulation, ethics, therapeutic hot stone, aromatherapy and myofascial therapy. She has gained experience in various work settings to include a physiotherapy clinic, a chiropractic clinic, and various high-end spas. After a year of backpacking in Australia and New Zealand, she developed a new understanding of the emotional side to pain and the profound effects it has on people, thanks to various healing mentors she had the opportunity to learn from.
Michaela takes a holistic approach to her clients, addressing and honouring all aspects of the person in order to provide the best treatment possible. She blends the various techniques she has learned and investigates the origin of the client's issues, while empowering clients to take charge of their own health and wellbeing. Michaela loves helping people and feels truly blessed that she is able to do this every day. She has a special interest in working with women's health issues, end of life, seniors, post surgery/scar tissue, visceral/organ release, emotional distress and sacroiliac (SI)/pelvis issues.
